APPREHENSION

SZA

Solana Rowe- known as SZA has deeply inspired me through her career so far, as I've said she's signed to the indie label TDE and creates alternative R&B music; something in which intrigues and captivates my mind greatly. 

Before SZA was signed to TDE she was a normal girl born in the USA attempting to find her purpose in life. As her father was Muslim and mother Christian similar to my own parents, additionally she was an orthodox Muslim although after being bullied: something in which I believe is  barbaric and unneeded behaviour, this unfortunately caused her to stop wearing her hijab. I feel that no person should suffer discrimination irrespective of race, culture, gender, age, sexuality or background. Acceptance of yourself and others is key in life. 

In terms of music I am huge fan of her's: so far she has released two of her own self-released EP's see.SZA.run and S. She was then signed in April 2013 to TDE and then April the following year she released her first EP as a TDE artists named 'Z' - her most recent. 

I'm eagerly awaiting her debut album 'A'
